INTRODUCTION:
The Sindh Innovation, Research, and Education Network (SIREN)
working under the auspices of the Government of Sindh and the International
Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), is organizing a hybrid course
entitled, “Identify Peripheral Markers of Brain and Vascular
Disorders”. Research scholars, students, scientists, and faculty
of SIREN affiliated universities are
cordially invited to attend this
important course.
COURSE
OVERVIEW:
This
course is design to identify peripheral markers of brain and vascular disorders
by using skills such as Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS), Electro
Encephalogram (EEG), Clinical Demographic, Ultrasound Imaging, Patch Clamping,
Tissue culture, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Platelets- electro
pharmacology, as well as Molecular biological and Biochemical techniques (such
as Amperometry).
Part
of work for the early diagnosis of vascular disorders such as stroke has been
filed for patent for the regions of Brunei and Malaysia. Stroke Meter: Kit and
Method for detecting cerebrovascular disorders Patent ID PI 2011700180 in
