INTRODUCTION:

The Sindh Innovation, Research, and Education Network (SIREN) working under the auspices of the Government of Sindh, and the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi is organizing a hybrid Course entitled, “Basic Arabic Language Course”.

The program focuses on lectures/courses being delivered by eminent scholars/researchers in the chosen disciplines, aimed at building concepts, enhancing critical thinking, and developing an understanding of the subject at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. This program also includes skill development courses/modules, and research lectures in which cutting-edge technologies/research results in various fields of higher education will be presented. These lectures/courses are relayed nationwide in various Universities and other HEIs online. Everyone eligible is welcome to register, attend, and benefit from this important and innovative program.

ABOUT THE COURSE:

This course has been designed to help undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students to develop and provide a better knowledge of the Arabic language. The aim is to communicate an inclusive depiction of language by providing information on Arab's cultural, social, and political life, contribute to the academic and professional requirements of their disciplines, and excel in their careers.

TRAINER’S PROFILE:

Allama Muhammad Irfan Shami, an Arabic language expert, teaches Arabic and other Islamic Studies subjects at the University of Karachi, Bahria University, Karachi campus: Sindh Madrasatul Islam University, Hexis College and West-green International School under British Curriculum, IGCSE in Sharjah, which is one of the reputed institutes in UAE. During his academic period of more than 15 years, he traveled to many other countries (Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Jordan, UAE, and Bahrain). He also got the experience of teaching Islamic courses abroad for above five years. Language proficiency in Urdu, Arabic & English. Author of a Hadith book "Noor ul Bari Sharah Sahih ul-Bukhari". (Translation and Explanation of 80 Ahadith of Sahih al-Bukhari in Urdu) This book has been taught at Sheikh Zaid Islamic Center and Islamic Learning department of Karachi University, Sheikh Zaid Islamic Center Karachi University research work for M.Phil. is in process on AAOIFI “Rehan” standard.

HOW TO REGISTER:

Candidates should follow the two-steps procedure:

1)       Submit the Fee of Rs. 5000 (non-refundable) by downloading the Fee Deposit Slip.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: 

Candidates with at least an Intermediate certificate or equivalent are applicable.

CERTIFICATION:

LEJ Center will issue a digital certificate to the candidates who complete all the requirements of the course:

1) Attendance: 70%

2) Final exam passing marks: 50%
